Tonight’s guest is author and Police historian Sgt. Mike Simmons. Mike lives in Pensacola, Florida and has served as a police historian since 1994. Mike has compiled and researched historical information and has written articles about the Pensacola Police Department (one of the oldest police departments in American history). Last year in January, March, May, and November he released four books three of which discuss the history of the Pensacola Police Department: “Pensacola’s Finest In Pictures: a photographic history of the Pensacola Police Department”, “Pensacola’s Finest: The Story of the Pensacola Police Department”, and “Stories of Pensacola’s Finest: Fascinating Stories of one of the most historic police departments in the United States” while the fourth discusses an unsolved murder in Pensacola with links to the JFK Assassination.
