After a tip, a suspect in the murder of Los Angeles County Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer has been arrested. Kevin Cataneo Salazar was taken into custody after he barricaded himself in a home for several hours.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said he hopes the office of progressive District Attorney George Gascon will prosecute the man suspected in the ambush killing of one of his deputies over the weekend to the fullest extent.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said he was assured by the District Attorney’s Office that the case will be prosecuted aggressively. The District Attorney, George Gascon, is known for going easy on suspects, even if it involved law enforcement officers as victims.
The case will be reviewed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which will decide what charges, if any, will be filed against the 29-year-old Salazar.
